Poem: At the Alster

Hamburg, Au├čenalsterDie Au├čenalster in Hamburg

I am sitting here,

next to you.

See how in you,

the light breaks soft and gently.

I get lost in you.

Love to be with your colors.

Here I come to rest,

because I just do nothing.

See all the people running around you,

how they hustle without a rest.

The animals on you, in you, the boats, here rule your very own commandments.

On you the waves,

my well-known journeymen.

You are dear to me,

not a monster at all.

Instead, always been a unique creature,

that I read too often.

Like a wine, you are exquisite,

you will always be in my heart.
